Pollution is the most serious problem that many countries in the world are now facing. Pollution problems have made people worldwide suffer from many different dangerous diseases. It is so hard to decrease the pollution levels although people are trying to control and overcome it. Pollution happens everywhere in the world from Mexico, Russia, America, and China to India, Peru and so on. Some cities in these countries are seriously polluted due to their chemical industries, metallurgy industries and even serious criminals. Some of them are neither money nor resources to be cleaned up. Let’s look at the following photos to see how these cities get dirty.
Mumbai, India
Mumbai is one of the most crowded and polluted cities on Earth. People here throw out tons of garbage everyday. Therefore, we can find filthy garbage everywhere in this city.
Pittsburgh, USA
Pittsburgh is one of the most polluted cities in the world. This is partially due to cars, everything powered by coal and partially because of its still industry.
Linfen, China
Most of China use coal and most of coal comes from Linfen. It is mined and also burned there. You can’t hang your clothes out to dry because it will turn black.
La Oroya, Peru
La Oroya is the city of lead smelting industry. There is much lead in the air, soil and water
Pernik, Bulgaria
Bulgaria itself is a dirty country where most people use coal to deal with the long winter. And Permik is the energy center of Bulgaria with metallurgy industry.
Cuidad Juarez, Mexico
Although Mexico is the Third World, people in this country generally keep things neat. However, they are facing a serious crime problem which makes some cites become mess because criminals aren’t interested in picking up the trash or filling in potholes.
Norlisk, Russia
Norlisk is considered as a slave labor camp. Each year, around 4 million tons of metal dust are dumped into the air in this region. It is so polluted that trees can’t survive.
Los Angeles, USA
Los Angeles makes the list of the dirtiest cities in the world because it has a lot of nasty gasses which can destroy our lungs.
Mexico City, Mexico
In Mexico City, the amount of nitrogen dioxide, one kind of pollutant in the air, is now twice to three times higher than international standards.
Vapi, India
Vapi is a busy industry center. It is famous for its chemical industries. Water, soil and air here are almost full of chemicals that you don’t want to drink breath or eat.
